Did you know? Math is known to be the subject to cause anxiety.

Most of my students come to me after a couple school years of math that has led them to feel defeated, stressed, and behind the rest of the class. I often hear from parents that homework can be a big stressor for their child, as well as keeping up in the classroom.
Math is known to the be the number 1 subject to cause anxiety for students (and adults) of all ages. And... anxiety shuts down our working memory, therefore our ability to compute even the most basic math problems.
My goals are to take the stress out of doing math work and to help my students understand that they are bright, no matter what they have been led to believe. I am here to ease your child back into math and catch them up to date with their current
grade-level math.
Every student deserves to feel successful in math. I am here to help take the stress out of math work and catch your child up to grade-level math with private tutoring sessions.
I help students to create strategies to solving a problem. I work on finding each individual students' strengths, and then identify their gaps from their past years in math class. I believe that we are all different learners, and that each of us are capable of finding strategies that will make math "make sense" to us.
My students often find that after working with me consistently, they no longer "hate" math– better yet, they leave my sessions with a sense of pride and a feeling of accomplishment. Whether your child simply needs help with multiplication tables, or needs to be prepared to enter high school level math courses, I am here to help.
